The Most Coveted Of Them All: The Gucci IT List https://ift.tt/D6TNGld
The must-haves from the erudite Gucci lineage
Aphrodite
Inspired by Gucci’s archival gems, the crescent moon-shaped Aphrodite bag was spotted on the runway as a part of the Gucci Cosmogonie collection for its Cruise 2023 presentation. The timeless design, coupled with the bag’s soft and accommodating sensibilities, pays homage to the long-standing heritage of the luxury house through its intelligent Italian make.
Gucci Valigeria
Featuring actor Ryan Gosling in the core campaign for Gucci Valigeria, the Savoy collection reflects the house’s adulation for fine travel. This sentiment stems from the Savoy hotel in London where founder Guccio Gucci once worked as a porter. Offering a rich repertoire of trolleys, trunks and duffle bags, this narrative emerged courtesy the brand’s penchant for discovery and cultural coexistence.
Gucci Jackie 1961
Reminiscent of the early ‘60s and ‘70s, ‘The Jackie’, with its elegant build was favoured by a swarm of celebrities, the most notable and frequent patron being Jackie Kennedy. Also a favourite of pop singer Harry Styles, the bag’s allure has only multiplied with time. Now having transformed into the ‘Jackie 1961,’ the bag’s most recent advancements include a pared-down silhouette, piston hardware, and an availability in multiple sizes, thus ranking high on the practicality pedestal.
Gucci gift collection: GG Marmont
Having debuted at Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection, the GG Marmont from the Gift Collection is easily recognisable thanks to its centrally placed Double Gs, one of the maison’s most notable symbols. Inspired by a Gucci buckle developed in the ‘70s, the design takes cues from yesteryears, whilst simultaneously blending it with the present day’s aesthetic.
